If we were having coffee… #weekendcoffeeshare

If we were having coffee, I'd tell you that this past week just sort of happened? I don't know. It wasn't very eventful. I went to work each day and it wasn't that busy (which I hate; I'd rather be swamped than bored). I'd tell you that Mr. LL was working a lot this week, at his day job and at a side job afterwork (and yesterday AND today). I hope it pays well. It's been lonely without him. I don't know. I had an off week. It was the week before my Aunt Flow pays a visit, and that is always an emotional roller coaster for me. I get really depressed and little things/simple misunderstandings make me cry. I hope this week is better.

If we were having coffee, I'd tell you that a friend and fellow blogger, Missy, and I are talking about doing a joint giveaway in the (hopefully near) future. She and I work together and have been talking blog-shop a lot. We are both trying to get our respective blogs rolling with full steam and have been helping each other with tips and resources.

If we were having coffee, I'd share that Bigby went to the vet this past week and took it like a champ. He had a bit of a worm issue, and it appears as though it has cleared up. Bleagh. But I love the cutie, wormy pup.

If we were having coffee, I'd admit that I've lost my camera's battery charger AND spare battery. It stressing me out. I lost the charger once before and had to order a new one. So I actually have TWO missing chargers. When I ordered the second one, it came with a spare battery, which is also missing now. This is not the time to be without my camera! Dear Life, I'm trying to do my Project 365, and my job has started to increase in my photography skills being tapped into, so you could not have thrown this curbe ball at me? Ugh. I'll give the apartment a good once over before I order a new one. Again.

If we were having coffee, I tell you that this past week was been crazy. With the new puppy, it's been quite the balancing act between work and puppy time. I have to get up way earlier to let the puppy do his business, and I have to drive all the way back home, every day, on my lunch break just to let him out of his crate so he can again do his business. It's been killing me to have to crate him and hear him cry as I leave. Luckily the puppy heart is quick to forgive and when I come home he's just happy to see me.

I'd also tell you that I've been really happy with the new blog and how things have been running on it. I hope that more of my readers from WordPress make the switch over to the  new space. Right now, I'm a little sad that not everyone who was reading Lazy Lady has jumped to the new site, But I hope that they will find us and that new readers will come as well.

If we were having coffee, I'd tell you that Mr. LL and I had a great date night last night. We went to see Gone With The Breaking Wind at Mid-City Theatre, starring Varla Jean Merman. It was wonderful and hilarious. We had a blast! It was a birthday present from Mr. LL. He had tried to get tickets for last Friday (my actual birthday), but ALL the shows were sold out. I was bummed, but I just let it go. But Mr.LL persisted and kept checking the show online; then they added three more days to the run and he scored two tickets to last night's play.

As I sipped my coffee, I'd ask how your past week was?

I'd let you know that I'm excited for the new things going on with my blog. I love the community posts (like this one) that I get to share with link-ups on some of my favorite blogs! This is just one of a few new posts on the revamped Lazy Lady.

I'd have to tell you that I'm also nervous about the new-ness of the blog. I hope that I didn't mess up coding and page creation and that it all runs smoothly now that is launched.

I'd share that I'm starting this new year with high hopes. High hopes for my art, my career, my blog, my relationships and for myself. I hope that Allen the Alligator Counts Through New Orleans does well and gets picked up by local book stores. I hope that this new site will really bring up my blogging game. I hope that I am able to strengthen my marriage and help it flourish. I hope that I can spend more time with my friends this year. I hope that I will finally set aside some time for myself. To destress from the world and get back in touch with my own hopes and dreams.

I'd tell you that Mr. LL and I had a great Friday night going out to eat and buying boardgames. I got four new games! They will surely make an appearance over at Part Time Monster in coming months! Also, on Saturday, we went to visit some friends and two of their dogs got together and made two adorable puppies. So, happy birthday to me, I got a new puppy! His name is Bigby. :) Sunday, I had brunch with my family at The Velvet Cactus and it was delicious. I had a pretty great 30th birthday (even if it wasn't a Logan's Run themed party, lol).
