If we were having coffee, I'd tell you it has been a rough couple of days. Friday I spent with Bigby and our veternarian. He's doing ok now, but he's still sore from his ordeal. I fell asleep with him that afternoon and when Mr. LL got home, I got up in grump-state. So we had a small fight (about nothing, really) and that kinda set the tone for the weekend, unfortunately. Everyone is okay now, though.

As I sip my coffee, I'd share that I'm super excited about the Blogger Brunch going down this upcoming weekend. I hope it as fun and as helpful as I envision it being. When I came up with the idea, it was born out of the fact that I'm starting this blog over, and it feels like the first time, and two of my coworkers have also started blogging recently. We talk to each other at work about blog things and share tips, so I thought it would be great if even just us three got together outside of work and talked about all of this stuff. Right now, there are 9 people who RSVPed to the Facebook invite, so that's even better! I'd love to have a nice little mix of new and experienced bloggers together to talk about blogging.

If we were having coffee, I'd share this exciting bit of news: Once A Month Gamer is moving to Lazy Lady! That's right! Diana at Part Time Monster agreed to let me move my monthly tabletop review to Lazy Lady, and in exchange, my I Heart It series on comic books/webcomics will be moving to her site. I think this will be a better fit for both of our blogs. I am so excited and the first OAMG post on Lazy Lady goes up tomorrow! I'll be review Tsuro, which is a lovely game and one of my new favorites.

If we were having coffee, I'd also tell you that I feel like purging my entire apartment. I have some GIANT garbage bags, and I'm going to fill them with all the miscellaneous stuff we have in our place that we never even look at. I'm so tired of living in clutter and we really just do not have the space for it. I'm even writing about it here so I can get myself motivated, today, to start the process. In fact, I'm off to go do just that...and some laundry. Somehow, we've lost a lot of our towels. I'm not sure where they went. That's a random thought thrown in and I will take that as a cue that my mind is ready to go do other things. I hope you have a great week!

If we were having coffee, I'd tell you that past week went by in a blur. Having a day off on a Tuesday (Mardi Gras) threw me off my groove. I had fun seeing Mr. LL's family and spending time with them. However, I got behind on my posts and work just seemed a mix of slow and hectic. Not to mention I ended up taking off a good bit of Wednesday to help my mom. I didn't plan on missing that much time at work, but that's life.

If we were having coffee, I'd tell you that yesterday was fun. Bigby took his first road trip, and he slept both ways. We took him with us to go see some friends in Mississippi for an afternoon/evening of D&D playing that also doubled as a mini-baby shower for one of them. We fought a boss and found a giantess in a cave. Then we began to convert our characters to 5th edition standards. Our group has been changing over the years. When we started out, it was Daniel as our DM, Annie, Laura, Jeremy, Maile and I playing. Then, Annie's brother, Andrew joined in but only played with us sporadically. When Mr. LL came into my life, he joined the group. Now, Laura has stopped coming to the games (she just stopped telling us if she was coming or not, same with book club, sadly) and Mr. LL has decided that D&D just isn't for him (he still comes with me though, and sits in the living room with his laptop playing Diablo). So, two new people will be joining us. They play D&D with the same crowd, but it's a different campaign. Should be interesting.

If we were having coffee, I'd let out my frustration with myself for getting behind on posts. And getting behind on illustration work. And getting behind on life, in general. Ugh.

I guess I'd better get off here and try to get caught up on everything now. I hope for better scheduling, on my part, next week.

If we were having coffee, I'd tell you that Mr. LL and I are laying low this Mardi Gras season. We are both home-bodies and don't feel like dealing with the crowds, parking and figuring out where to catch the parades. My brother used to live right off the Uptown parade route but has sinced move, so I don't know where to go anymore. We have a friend who lives further Uptown, right in the thick of the parade routes, but that area is riddled with ladders and stands, so we wouldn't even be able to see anything. Plus, Mr. LL has been working nights and weekends.

I also would share that Mr. LL and I had a nice, quiet Valentines together. He gave me a new board game, and I can't wait to play it. He had to work the first half of yesterday, then we just hung out and got some take-out. There may have been some napping.

If we were having coffee, I'd tell you Bigby has been sick all morning. Poor guy threw up a couple of times and has been sleeping it off. He seems better now, but he's still not running around like his usual crazy self.

These days my to-do list is just growing longer and longer. It seems like once I check one thing off, I am adding two more things to do. Most of it is blog related, but there is a healthy dose of things to do around the apartment and with the family. Not to mention that I have a looming illustration deadline but I can't work on it at home. Really it is a matter of principle that I can't work on it at home, because it is for my day job, and I won't get paid for working on it during the time I am off. My "free" time is too valuable to me to work for free.

Well, I need to work on my grocery list and meal planning for the week. I also need to set up our budget/cash envelopes for the week too. I hope you have a productive week.
